Toby Kilgore, Grants Manager

Toby KilgoreIn addition to being a key member of the Forests & Wildlife and Sustainable Maine programs teams, Toby secures and administers general operating grants for NRCM and conducts research. She also takes on special fundraising-related projects. Prior to joining NRCM, Toby worked as a studio manager for an architectural photographer in the Boston area, and did fundraising, marketing, and office management for the historic preservation group, Greater Portland Landmarks. Toby grew up in the deserts of southern Arizona and the suburbs of Houston, and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. Her travels have taken her to many places in the U.S and Europe, and to Belize for an archeological dig studying Mayan ruins. She lives in Westbrook with her dog Truffle and her husband, John, who shares her fondness for superhero and martial arts movies. She enjoys travel, photography, hiking, and exploring different forms of art, most recently encaustic painting.
