Colin Durrant, Media Relations & Advocacy Communications Director
Colin works with NRCM’s advocacy team to craft communications strategies that protect and enhance the nature of Maine. Colin has more than two decades of experience as a communications leader and storyteller in the nonprofit, government, and higher education sectors. He came to NRCM from Harvard University where he served as Senior Communications Officer for Sustainability, and previously led communications efforts at MassDOT and the Conservation Law Foundation. Colin cut his teeth in environmental advocacy right out of college when he worked in Oregon as a grassroots organizer with the Save our Wild Salmon Coalition to restore a free-flowing Snake River. He is a graduate of Tufts University, lives in Yarmouth with his wife, daughter, and young twin boys where he is Chair of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee.
