Colin Durrant, Strategic Communications Director

In his role in the Communications team, Colin leads implementation of campaign strategies across the organization to achieve NRCM’s advocacy mission and engage supporters in our work. He is the primary point of contact for the media. Colin is an experienced communications strategist, writer, and storyteller who has worked for more than two decades in the government, nonprofit, and higher education sectors to creatively and effectively motivate people to act for change. He came to NRCM from Harvard University, where he served as Senior Communications Officer for Sustainability, and previously led communications efforts at MassDOT and the Conservation Law Foundation. Colin cut his teeth in environmental campaigns right out of college when he worked in Oregon as a grassroots organizer with the Save our Wild Salmon Coalition to restore a free-flowing Snake River. He is a graduate of Tufts University and lives in Yarmouth with his wife, daughter, and twin boys where he is Chair of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee.
