Colin Durrant, Media Relations & Advocacy Communications Director

Colin crafts advocacy communications messages and works broadly with staff on strategies. He is the primary contact for the media. Colin is a member of NRCM’s Communications team and brings more than two decades ​of experience as a communications professional and storyteller in the nonprofit, government, and higher education sectors. He came to NRCM from Harvard University where he served as Senior Communications Officer for Sustainability, and previously led communications efforts at MassDOT and the Conservation Law Foundation. Colin cut his teeth in environmental advocacy right out of college when he worked in Oregon as a grassroots organizer with the Save our Wild Salmon Coalition to restore a free-flowing Snake River. He is a graduate of Tufts University and lives in Yarmouth with his wife, daughter, and twin boys where he is Chair of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee.
