Phaeng’s work ranges from handling offline and online database needs, generating and maintaining data and reports, and supporting the program and office staff in their use of this important tool. She graduated with a BS in International Business from Fresno State University where she spent some time abroad studying in Sydney, Australia, and the Kowloon area in Hong Kong. With a focus on sustainable development, Phaeng received her Master’s Degree in Planning, Policy, and Management at the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine.
Prior to coming to the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Phaeng worked as a graduate assistant with the New England Environmental Finance Center and as a project associate at an educational nonprofit in downtown Portland. Phaeng grew up in Fresno, California, where she spent most of her childhood summers on the family farm and where she developed a great fondness for being outdoors. She currently lives in a tiny apartment in Portland with over 60 different cultivars of plants.
