Marlisa Simonson, Senior Director, Philanthropy & Strategic Advisor
Marlisa heads up NRCM’s team of fundraising professionals, setting goals and creating plans to reach them. Along with other members of the senior leadership team, she helps establish organizational policies and protocols. She also assists the CEO in special projects. Prior to NRCM, she most recently worked with corporate sponsors and individual community members to generate revenue on behalf of the Travelers Championship, a PGA Tour professional golf tournament and charitable engine to hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Before that, she held a variety of roles at the University of Hartford, Wesleyan University, and Middlebury College. Marlisa received a BA from Middlebury College, a Master’s in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University. A Maine native and lifelong New Englander, Marlisa serves on the board of Foodshare, one of two food pantries in the state of Connecticut and part of the Feeding America network. She also serves as an Advisory Board member of World Without Hate, a Seattle-based nonprofit using empathy education to break the cycle of hate and violence.
