“You spoke and we listened.” That’s how the Plum Creek Timber Company is characterizing its revised plan for landscape scale conservation and development on its 241,000 acres around Moosehead Lake. The plan includes changes in size and location of two big resorts. Construction around remote lakes and ponds has also been taken off the map. But the revised plan still calls for 975 house lots, making the development project the single largest ever proposed in Maine. Susan Sharon reports.
