Sandi Howard receives her People's Choice Award from NRCM Board President Patty Hager
Help us honor someone (or a group) who has gone above and beyond to protect a special place, or helped pass a particular safeguard for Maine’s environment, or worked to stop polluting companies from contaminating our state—a volunteer who has devoted their time and effort to making future generations will enjoy the kind of Maine we know and love today.
People's Choice Award 2021 Nominations
The nominations for our 2021 award will be open in summer 2021. The NRCM People's Choice Award was created to honor people who are working to protect Maine's air, land, water, and wildlife and do this in a volunteer capacity. Who do you know in your own community or around the state who is making a difference protecting the nature of Maine?
(Important note: We cannot consider someone currently sitting on a regulatory board or who is in the Legislature, or who is or was serving in a paid position while carrying out the work. The People's Choice Award honors volunteers. Also, you may vote only once for this year's award. Duplicate votes from the same person will only be counted as one vote.)
