NRCM member David Preston of China Village, Maine, said that he “had a wonderful hike on Isle au Haut this past Saturday.” He also shares that about half of the island is part of Acadia National Park, but it is only accessible by boat, with no overnight accommodations, so there are very few visitors, unlike the main part of Acadia that is busier than ever with visitors.
