NRCM member John DeWitt of Isle au Haut shares his beautiful photo and writes, “I just spent some time the past few days walking in our bogs here on Isle au Haut. The fall colors are great in the bogs and, with the terrible drought we’re in right now, walking through them is possible without boots. I started out looking for the best stands of cotton grass, and there is a bumper crop of it this year, but there is so much more of interest in our bogs. More people should take notice of these beautiful places that are passed by without a closer look.”
We couldn’t agree more, John! Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo with us.
