Spruce Mountain Ski Area
Friday, February 13 at 5:30 PM: Free Ski Night with NRCM at Spruce Mountain Ski Slope
Ski for free with us at this beloved, community-owned ski hill in Jay for an event highlighting NRCM’s commitment to protecting Maine’s environment while fostering family-friendly winter fun! NRCM Franklin County Outreach Coordinator Olivia Ruhlin will welcome guests to the lodge for a cozy gathering to get to know each other and chat about environmental issues that matter to you. Flagstaff Lake
Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 AM: Tracks and Trees Snowshoe with Naturalist Bob Duport
NRCM is proud to sponsor a 6-mile roundtrip snowshoe to the Flagstaff Lake Hut, alongside Maine Huts & Trails, a nonprofit offering 50 miles of non-motorized multi-use trails and 4 backcountry lodges in western Maine, with a focus on increasing access to impactful backcountry experiences for all. Join us at the Flagstaff Trailhead at 10 AM to explore animal tracks and trees with Bob. NRCM’s Olivia Ruhlin will talk about our work while you enjoy lunch at the Hut, provided by NRCM. Free coffee and water will also be provided. Come support outdoor recreation and local conservation efforts. Space is limited to 30 people. RSVP today to reserve your spot.
