Baldpate, by Linda Woods
“Since the Grafton Notch area is my favorite place, Harry and I go there annually to celebrate my July birthday. Four years ago on my 70th birthday, I said good-bye to Baldpate, my absolute favorite hike. Over the years since, I have missed it! We decided to do the West Peak (3,662 feet) one more time. With the wind chill it was about 40 degrees on top, so we didn’t stay too long…just long enough to eat lunch and to take a few pictures.”

“Over the years, I have hiked Rumford Whitecap (2,214 feet) numerous times and have taken countless photos from its scenic summit. Here is a shot looking at Old Speck and Baldpate.”
