Ella oversees all aspects of NRCM’s comprehensive membership program. A seasoned fundraising professional with a robust background in cultivating meaningful relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners, she most recently served as the Director of Special Initiatives at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Los Angeles, where she played a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and enhancing donor engagement. Ella spent her childhood on the North Shore of Massachusetts and her adolescence in the Florida Keys, where her love of nature was solidified. A dedicated environmental activist, Ella has been on the frontlines with water protectors at Standing Rock, individuals fighting neighborhood oil drilling in Los Angeles, and with the Porter Ranch community who were poisoned by So Cal Gas Company during the largest methane gas leak in US history. Ella relocated from Los Angeles with her husband, a multi-generational Mainer. She is a longstanding volunteer with the Wabanaki Alliance and serves on the Board of Directors of JustME for JustUS, an organization dedicated to rural youth climate organizing. She lives in Brunswick.

Why I Do This Work

"I love combining my passions as a longtime environmental advocate with my professional work in environmental philanthropy, and I’m thrilled about this opportunity to learn from NRCM members and activists and deepen my involvement in NRCM’s vital work! It’s an incredible privilege to engage with the dedicated supporters who sustain an organization’s success. I look forward to connecting with members to THANK THEM and better understand their motivations for continuing to contribute to our work!"
