With so many environmental rollbacks being proposed by the Trump Administration, now is time to rise up together to fight back against the Trump Administration’s anti-science, anti-environment agenda. Guests were invited to attend this event to learn about the threats we face and how to take action for Maine’s environment.
The event was held on Thursday, September 27 at the University of New England’s Biddeford Campus (Marcil Hall room 323) located on Newtown Road in Biddeford.
Guests learned about the threats we face to our clean air, clean water, land, and wildlife. Then, they learned citizen advocacy skills needed to fight back, like how to convince their legislators to support environmental laws and how best to get out their message using social media and letters to the editor. The event was free and open to the public.
NRCM was proud to co-sponsor this event with our environment and public health partners: Maine Conservation Voters, Maine Public Health Association, Maine Audubon, and the Appalachian Mountain Club.
