Thanks to all who joined us for a paddle on the Penobscot!
NRCM has worked on Penobscot River restoration efforts for the past 20 years! It was high time that we paddle it. We joined with the Penobscot Paddle & Chowder Society on Saturday, August 24th for a 10-mile flatwater paddle from the Penobscot Salmon Club in Brewer (on North Main Street across from Eastern Maine Medical Center) to the Orrington Boat Launch.
The trip was about 5 hours and we stoped to picnic along the way.
The paddle was led by Allan Fuller of the Penobscot Paddle & Chowder Society.
This paddle was great for all abilities and all ages. Bring the kids, bring the grandkids, or come solo! All are welcome.
This event was free and open to the public.
