This October, Mainers could stop by a local Farmers’ Market to test drive an electric car in Waterville, Belfast, or Bangor!
Between 2014 and 2018 the number of Mainers driving electric vehicles (EVs) more than doubled. That number continues to rise because EVs are reducing air pollution, saving Maine people hundreds of dollars a year in fuel costs, and they’re fun to drive. This October, NRCM and the Greater Portland Council of Governments brought electric cars to your town so you can learn more about the cars, the new rebates available (up to $7500 off!), and see what people are so charged up about (pun fully intended!).
Thanks to all of you who joined us for a test drive of a Chevy Bolt, which has more than 200 miles of range between charges:
Waterville, October 17 at the Waterville Farmers’ Market at the Riverwalk at Head of the Falls
Belfast, October 19 at the Belfast United Farmers’ Market at 18 Spring Street
Bangor, October 20 at the Bangor Farmers’ Market at 140 Harlow Street
