NRCM raffled an ELF solar and pedal hybrid electric vehicle. It is dubbed as the most efficient vehicle on the planet. It gets the equivalent of 1800 MPG. If that wasn’t enough: A lucky second-place winner received a free energy audit from The Breathable Home, located in Central Maine, or Penobscot Home Performance in Penobscot County. The energy audit is valued at $400. Four runner-up prizes included: Eaarth by Bill McKibben, The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars by Michael Mann, Chasing Ice DVD, and Before the Flood DVD.
Tickets were $40 each and limited to 300 tickets. Per IRS regulations, raffles are not tax-deductible.
Proceeds from this raffle will be used to advocate for clean energy in Maine and beyond.
