With so many environmental rollbacks being proposed by the Trump Administration, now is time to rise up together to fight back against the Trump Administration’s anti-science, anti-environment agenda. NRCM invited residents to attend this event to learn more about the threats we face and to take action for Maine’s environment.
Thursday, October 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wavus Camps, 88 Wavus Point Road, Jefferson.
People learned about the threats we face to our clean air, clean water, land, and wildlife. Then, they learned citizen advocacy skills needed to fight back like how to convince legislators to support environmental legislation and how best to get out your message using social media and letters to the editor. The event was free and open to the public.
NRCM was proud to co-sponsor this event with our environment and public health partners: Maine Conservation Voters, Maine Public Health Association, Maine Audubon, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Midcoast Conservancy.
