Thank you to all who joined NRCM on Wednesday, September 27th from 6:00–7:30 p.m. in the Rines Auditorium, at the Portland Public Library’s Sustainability Series event Conservation and Kegs: How Keeping Land Green is Good for Maine Breweries.
The event explored the role of Sebago Lake’s surrounding forest and watershed in our local beer economy, and featured Paul Hunt and Laurel Jackson from the Portland Water District in conversation with Luke Truman from Allagash Brewing and Nathan Sanborn from Rising Tide Brewing. After the presentations, there was a beer tasting and opportunity to take action on the federal issues threatening the Sebago Lake Watershed. Guests learned about the role of land conservation in water quality and its impact on our local economy.
Free and open to the public. There was be a beer tasting after the event for attendees 21+.
