There’s a planning process underway for Katahdin Woods and Waters (KWW) National Monument, and you can participate!
The National Park Service’s meeting on winter recreation uses in the National Monument was held on Wednesday, January 24 in East Millinocket. People shared their ideas about winter recreation in the Monument, offered feedback based on their own experiences, and helped guide the Park Service as it writes KWW’s management plan.
This is a great way to show your support for expanding opportunities for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter hiking in the Monument.
Date: Wednesday, January 24, 2018
Time: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Katahdin Region Higher Education Center
1 Dirigo Drive, East Millinocket, Maine
If you were not able to attend the meeting in person, please send your comments, feedback, and ideas to KWW Superintendent Tim Hudson at KAWW_Superintendent@nps.gov.
Thank you for supporting Katahdin Woods and Waters!
