Zoom in with NRCM: The future of Maine’s electric grid
Thursday, November 3, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Maine is already building a clean energy future, with record amounts of heat pumps and solar energy being installed, and more electric vehicles than ever on our roads. Funding from the Inflation Reduction Act can help accelerate progress.
In order to bring technologies like this to more homes and businesses across Maine we’ll need to reimagine how we plan, build, and operate our electric grid.
A new integrated grid planning law passed in 2022 sets us on a more positive path for designing the electric grid of the future by ensuring that each investment in the grid is driving us as quickly, as cheaply, and as equitably as possible toward a clean energy transition.
But the success of this new approach will depend on how it’s implemented, and that’s why we need help from people like you to put the interests of Maine people front and center.
This webinar gave participants a chance to learn more about this exciting opportunity to reimagine our energy future in Maine and how to be a part of the process.
