With so many environmental rollbacks being proposed by the Trump Administration, now is time to rise up together to fight back against the Trump Administration’s anti-science, anti-environment agenda. NRCM invited members to attend this event to learn more about the threats we face and how to take action for Maine’s environment.
The event was held on Thursday, October 18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maine Audubon, 20 Gilsland Farm Road, Falmouth.
Attendees learned about the threats we face to our clean air, clean water, land, and wildlife. Then, they learned citizen advocacy skills needed to fight back, like how to talk with legislators about bills and how best to get out the message using social media and letters to the editor. The event was free and open to the public.
NRCM was proud to co-sponsor this event with our environment and public health partners: Maine Conservation Voters, Maine Public Health Association, Maine Audubon, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Midcoast Conservancy.
