The Natural Resources Council of Maine invited guests to USM’s Glickman Library, 314 Forest Avenue, Portland on Thursday, November 8 for a post-election discussion. Although NRCM cannot by law get involved in candidate elections, we have a strong interest in the results. This year’s races are certain to affect Maine’s environment — no matter who wins.
There were refreshments and a cash bar at 5:30 p.m., followed at 6:15 p.m. by remarks from NRCM CEO Lisa Pohlmann. NRCM Advocacy Director Pete Didisheim then shared his best thinking about what the elections could mean for the future of clean water, clean air, forests, and wildlife in our state.
