You’re invited: This October, stop by a local Farmers’ Market to test drive an electric car in Waterville, Belfast, or Bangor!
Between 2014 and 2018 the number of Mainers driving electric vehicles (EVs) more than doubled. That number continues to rise because EVs are reducing air pollution, saving Maine people hundreds of dollars a year in fuel costs, and they’re fun to drive. This October, NRCM and the Greater Portland Council of Governments will be bringing an electric car to your town so you can learn more about the cars, the new rebates available (up to $7500 off!), and see what people are so charged up about (pun fully intended!).
Please join us on any of these dates for a test drive of a Chevy Bolt, which has more than 200 miles of range between charges:
Waterville, on Thursday, October 17 at the Waterville Farmers’ Market at the Riverwalk at Head of the Falls, anytime between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Belfast, on Saturday, October 19 at the Belfast United Farmers’ Market at 18 Spring Street between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Bangor, on Sunday, October 20 at the Bangor Farmers’ Market at 140 Harlow Street from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
