LINCOLNVILLE — Midcoast artist Dudley Zopp has committed to restore balance to her just-off-Route-1 habitat and, as a way to learn from the landscape, is painting one watercolor a week for the rest of the year.
The first ones in the series were done in the studio, but as the weather improves she will be working more on site, documenting favorite places around her property. Zopp is posting the paintings on Instagram and Facebook as she goes along, and they are all available for purchase. During April, Zopp is donating 10 percent of sales to the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
“I’ve been a supporter of NRCM since I moved to Maine, and am delighted to give something back to an organization that does so much to keep Maine’s environment healthy,” she wrote in her announcement.
