The Natural Resources Council of Maine will a unveil a new documentary film and hold a reception in Portland Wednesday.
The 30-minute documentary, “Protecting the Nature of Maine: Fifty Years of the Natural Resources Council of Maine,” tells the story of the advocacy group and many of the major environmental policy battles in Maine during the last half century. The Portland showing is the movie’s premiere and will be followed by a reception with the film’s Maine-based director, Richard Kane.
The screening will be held at 7 p.m. in One Longfellow Square. A $10 admission includes refreshments. For more information, or to reserve seats, go to www.nrcm.org.
The film also will be shown during the Camden International Film Festival Oct. 3 at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland.
