We have a new My Maine This Week photographer this week!
Jess Chua of Calais, Maine, shares two beautiful photos she took this winter, and she writes, “I’ve visited the Saint Croix Island International Historic Site a few times over the years, but not during the winter. I was curious about what the landscape would look like, as I grew up in a place without snow or the four seasons. It was amazingly calm and picturesque (in between strong gusts of wind over the St. Croix River). The mountain in the distance in the second picture is situated in New Brunswick. This historic site focuses on the beginning of a permanent European presence in Northern North America, on land that the Passamaquoddy have taken care of for more than 15,000 years. For more info, visit https://www.nps.gov/sacr/index.htm.”
Thank you, Jess!
