NRCM members Charlotte Agell and Peter Simmons of Brunswick share their beautiful winter photos from the Midcoast with us this week.
We would love to see what you are seeing around Maine this winter. Send us your landscape and wildlife photos at nrcm@nrcm.org.
The first photo, by Charlotte, is of skaters on Winnegance Lake in Bath on December 12, 2025. That day there were miles of black ice, grand conditions for all skaters. Winnegance is managed by the Winnegance River Herring Commission, a cooperative effort of the towns of Bath, West Bath, and Phippsburg.

And Peter shares his photo of a winter sky over Maquoit Bay’s Wharton Point in Brunswick. Peter writes, “Taken from a very cold Wharton Point, which is conserved and owned by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and maintained by the Town of Brunswick.”
