State House Action Day
Legislators say that the voices of their constituents are the most important voices they need to hear.
That’s why every year, the Natural Resources Council of Maine hosts our members and supporters for State House Action Day — a day for Mainers to come to the State House in Augusta to speak with their legislators about important issues affecting Maine’s environment.
Every year, we bring together people from across Maine for State House Action Day— for face-to-face conversations with legislators and fueled by community and a shared love for Maine’s environment.
The political landscape is more heated than ever, but real progress is happening at the state level. During each legislative session, decisions are made in Augusta that will shape the future of our forests, waters, climate, and communities, and your voice can make a difference.
We start the day with breakfast and an advocacy training and then head to the State House to meet with legislators. You won’t be alone—we’ll provide everything you need:

✅ A folder of personalized materials to guide you
✅ A supportive team, including a small group and an NRCM staff lead throughout the day
