November 2nd is just around the corner – and this year, Maine voters have a chance to show their continued and strong support for conservation by voting yes on Question 3. We need to show our legislators that we support the Land for Maine’s Future program (LMF), which has worked tirelessly to preserve the special places in Maine that are crucial to our economy, environment, and way of life since 1987. Maine voters have supported land bonds every time they have been on the ballot. Let’s do it again in 2010! Question 3 needs your support to invest in the future of this state by protecting our most valuable resource -our special places.
Learn more about LMF by watching this new ad that began running this week. You can also learn more about Land for Maine’s Future .
LMF has preserved nearly half a million acres of Maine land in all 16 counties – including forests, beaches, lakes, rivers, farms, and mountains. This gives Maine people direct access forever to the land that we depend on to maintain our natural heritage and way of life. LMF is an investment in the future of Maine, ensuring that our natural resource-based economy can flourish for years to come. By voting “yes” to protect working forests, working waterfronts, and areas of high recreational value, you are also supporting many of the businesses that drive our economy here in Maine.
A yes vote on question 3 supports more then just conservation; it supports our Maine way of life!!
I urge you to vote “YES” on Question 3 on Election Day!
