Kelly Ward, Office Coordinator
In addition to answering phones and greeting visitors to the office, Kelly prepares and processes accounts payables, stays on top of office supplies, and makes certain equipment and facilities are well maintained and functioning smoothly. Kelly grew up in Connecticut before attending Northeastern University in Boston, where they studied Behavioral Neuroscience. They found a strange and fascinating research job working in a sleep research lab. After eight years, Kelly wanted a change so spent three months road-tripping to visit National Parks around the U.S. After that, they found home and comfort in Maine, where they have been ever since. Prior to coming to NRCM, they worked for a few years in Portland’s brewery industry. Kelly loves beer and great food, whether it is home-cooked or out and about.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Nothing beats chocolate soft serve with rainbow sprinkles!
Dog or cat person? Literally, any animal. I love them all.
Favorite quote: “I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” — John Muir
Favorite thing to do outdoors in Maine: Anything! Exploring Baxter, whitewater rafting the Penobscot, and enjoying coastal sunrises to name a few.
