Senior Director of Philanthropy
Vanessa is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive donor engagement and fundraising strategy with her team, to support NRCM’s mission and goals. She manages all aspects of revenue generation, including foundation and corporate support, planned giving, major gifts, and member acquisition and retention. As a member of NRCM’s Senior Leadership Team, Vanessa helps set organization-wide policies. Prior to NRCM, she was Senior Vice President of Operations and Advancement at The Climate Reality Project, the nonprofit founded by Al Gore to seek action on the climate crisis. Her background also includes roles at the Motion Picture Association of America, Georgetown University, the Clinton/Gore White House, and the Texas Legislature Vanessa majored in government at the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband, their daughter, and their two dogs.
