Nate leads NRCM’s efforts to develop and deepen lasting relationships with Maine people, organizations, businesses, elected officials, and community leaders in the Penobscot and Frenchman Bay region. He seeks opportunities for common ground on issues such as responding to climate change, making Maine communities more sustainable and resilient, water quality, fisheries restoration, habitat protection, and land conservation. Prior to coming to NRCM, Nate spent a decade in coastal and maritime experiential on both coasts, the Great Lakes, Hawaii, the Canadian Maritimes, and the Caribbean experiential education and interning with National Geographic in Washington, D.C. Nate has a bachelor’s in environmental studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He and his partner live in Rockland with their cat Telltail and dog Howland.
