Luke’s is dedicated to protecting the natural character of Maine’s North Woods and the ecological, economical, and recreational value it holds. He crafts and supports policies that safeguard vital terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, bringing his scientific expertise and deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape to protect, restore, and conserve Maine’s woods, waters, and wildlife. He provides expert testimony to the Legislature and state agencies and collaborates with coalition partners and other stakeholders to determine opportunities and priorities for protections. Before joining NRCM, Luke served as the Coastal Monitoring & Modeling Lead at FB Environmental. Luke holds a BA in earth and oceanographic science from Bowdoin College and an MS in marine sciences from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Luke lives in Portland.
