Executive Director
Justin came to NRCM as Executive Director in April 2026 with deep roots in Maine’s outdoors, a profound love for the state’s pristine natural resources, and a fierce determination to protect the places we all love. He is passionate about advancing the unique role NRCM plays as a fearless watchdog for Maine’s environment and mobilizing the power of everyday people coming together to build a lasting legacy through policy and systems change.
A well-respected leader of impact-driven organizations, Justin has spent his career working to dismantle broken systems and structures, to ensure that opportunity exists for all, and not just the privileged.
Prior to NRCM, Justin served as the first Executive Director of Full Plates Full Potential, where he oversaw strategic growth in the organization’s mission and passage of a landmark food security law.
Before coming to NRCM, Justin spent nearly 15 years supporting students from low-income backgrounds to, and through, college, first at Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City and then at Bottom Line in Boston. He then followed his heart back to Maine to become the first Executive Director at Full Plates Full Potential in 2021. He received his AB in government and teaching from Bowdoin College, earned an MS in nonprofit management and leadership from Northeastern University, and is a graduate of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice program through Tufts University.
Justin’s commitment to NRCM’s mission is driven by deep personal connection to Maine’s outdoors. His years spent wilderness tripping at Camp Kieve in Nobleboro, time passed at his family’s remote camp near Jackman, and time as an Outing Club leader at Bowdoin helped shape the values he holds today.
Justin serves as Board President of the Maine Association of Nonprofits and previously was the Development Committee Chair at Teens to Trails. He lives in Brunswick.
