Communications Director
Colin leads the development of creative communications strategies for NRCM rooted in authentic storytelling about the impact of our shared work to safeguard Maine’s environment for this and future generations. He is the primary point of contact for media and manages a digital team focused on motivating people to act for a better future. An experienced communications strategist, writer, and storyteller, Colin has worked for more than two decades in the government, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. Colin came to NRCM from Harvard University, where he served as Senior Communications Officer for Sustainability, and previously served as Deputy Secretary for Communications and Policy at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Communications Director at the Conservation Law Foundation. Straight out of college, Colin worked in Oregon as a grassroots organizer with the Save our Wild Salmon Coalition to restore a free-flowing Snake River. He serves as Chair of Yarmouth’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and is a co-founder of Dirigon Union, the independent supporters group for the Portland Hearts of Pine soccer club. Colin holds a BA from Tufts University.
