Sarah Cotton

Sarah is passionate about protecting clean water and conserving natural spaces. In AmeriCorps, she worked on water quality projects in California’s coastal redwood forests. Returning to her home state of Minnesota, Sarah was employed by a soil and water conservation district, leading education and outreach efforts that helped landowners protect natural resources. Since moving to Maine in 2019, she worked in admissions at Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, supporting students and families preparing for outdoor learning experiences. Sarah holds a BA in environmental studies from the College of Saint Benedict. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, and spending time by the ocean. She lives in Hope.
