Sam Day

NRCM Board of Directors

Sam grew up in Maine’s Kennebec River Valley and, after several years away, returned to build a home in Dresden with his wife and their bird dog, Hank. He owns a small construction company specializing in energy-efficient remodels and new construction. Sam has long been active in environmental advocacy in Maine, working with organizations including the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Trout Unlimited, and Say No to NECEC. Before joining NRCM, he served on the board of Maine Rivers. Outside of his work and advocacy, Sam enjoys fly fishing Maine trout streams and spending time in the grouse woods with his dog.
