Lucy leverages decades of international experience covering critical energy and environment issues in her role as President of NRCM’s Board of Directors. Having grown up in Africa and following a career in the U.S. Foreign Service, her work around the globe has shaped her deep conviction that while petroleum products contributed significantly to economic development, they are also at the root of modern challenges, ranging from pollution and climate change to systemic corruption. Lucy is a long-time NRCM Katahdin Circle member and is active in her local community, previously serving on the boards of the Bethel Rotary and Bethel Library Association. When she isn’t championing environmental causes, Lucy enjoys life as a self-described pioneer of gardening and home maintenance techniques designed specifically for the weak, thrifty, and slothful. She lives in Bethel.
