Charles “C.J.” Kanozak

Charles, or “C.J.,” a resident of Scarborough, is an attorney whose practice focuses on business and real estate transactions. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maine and later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. Before entering the legal profession, he founded, owned, and sold a legal support services company. Earlier in his career, he worked as a scientist at EnviroLogix, where he helped develop innovative testing technologies for environmental monitoring and detection of genetically modified organisms in agriculture, and previously conducted research at the Jackson Laboratory. C.J.’s appreciation for Maine’s environment began early in life through his work with Chewonki, an experience that gave him a lifelong commitment to protecting Maine’s natural resources, which continues to guide both his personal and professional life.
