Be Bold in the Cold - Join Us for Our Polar Bear Plunge
Join Us to Kick Off NRCM's 50th Anniversary
and Help Fight Global Warming!
Help support NRCM's work to curb global warming by joining us for a polar bear plunge! The bone-chilling fun will take place at East End Beach in Portland, Maine on Friday, January 2nd at noon. East End Beach is off the Eastern Promenade on Cutter Street.
In order to participate we ask that you:
- Send an email to nrcm@nrcm.org with your name and contact information so that we can send you all the information you’ll need to get in on the fun!
- Included in your registration packet you’ll find a pledge form. Please print it off and bring it to your office, school, or any place where you can get folks to pledge your plunge into the Atlantic for a good cause.
- We need you to raise a minimum of $50! You can send your friends and family to http://supporters.nrcm.org/polar_plunge and ask them to sponsor you online. Make sure they include your name so we know who to credit with their pledge.
This is the first of 50 events and activities in celebration of NRCM's 50th anniversary in 2009!
Get your friends and family to pledge your polar plunge in support of our energy work, and at the same time, raise awareness about global warming and what NRCM is doing right here in Maine to curb it.
We hope you will BE BOLD IN THE COLD and join us on January 2nd to kick of a year of celebration of NRCM's 50th anniversary!
Please contact us at (800) 287-2345 or nrcm@nrcm.org if you have questions about this event.
