Help Maine move ahead with solar power! A public hearing on our priority solar bill (LD 1373, sponsored by Rep. Seth Berry) has been scheduled for Thursday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. We need solar supporters to come to the State House for the hearing.
We’ll hold a rally outside of the State House at 12 noon before the public hearing. Don your yellow solar shirt or bring a sign!
Please RSVP if you can come!
Please show your support in Augusta for solar power on Thursday, May 4:
- 12:00 p.m. Rally outside the State House (on the west side of the Cross Office Building). Bring homemade signs showing your support.
- 12:45 p.m. Walk very short distance to the Energy & Utilities Committee room for the 1:00 p.m. public hearing (Room 211 of the Cross Office Building).
- BONUS! You can also join a joint “Conservation Lobby Day” in the morning! Meet us at 9:00 a.m. in the Cross Cafeteria in the Cross Office Building (next to the State House). We’ll provide information on our priority environmental bills, including solar, share tips about how to communicate effectively with legislators, and then escort you to the State House to help you you’re your legislators! RSVP separately for the lobby day here.
For planning purposes, please RSVP for the solar rally and hearing. If you can only come for part of the day, that’s okay!
It’s more important than ever that the Legislature stops the PUC’s extreme solar rollback and get Maine on track for solar power—please come to the public hearing.
