In-Depth Description

NRCM works for policies to protect Maine people from toxic chemicals in everyday products that we use in our homes, schools and workplaces.  We also work to inform Maine people about the hazards of these chemicals and what you can do to protect yourself and your family.  In addition, we promote innovative solutions and partner with parents, teachers and business owners to implement strategies to reduce toxic exposure.

Over the years, we’ve worked to pass legislation to protect children from exposure to toxic cleaning chemicals and pesticides in schools.  We’ve also worked to educate Maine people about the toxic chemicals found in cleaning products, PVC plastic, electronics and other consumer products, food, indoor air and water.

NRCM is working to ensure that we live, learn and work in places that are free from toxic chemicals.
