- 12/31 - Be Bold in the Cold! Joinus in Portland for our Polar Plunge - to raise money and awareness for our global warming work.

- 6/25 - NRCM's actual 50th anniversary date - celebrate 50 years of NRCM protecting the nature of Maine.
- 12/21 – Winter Equinox – In preparation for long, winter nights, make sure all of your lighbulbs are CFLs!

- Take a hike on lands protected by the Land for Maine’s Future program. We recommend a few, for starters.
- Visit a Maine sporting camp- NRCM members get a discount at participating camps!
