In-Depth Description

High asthma rates, more “bad air days,” rising sea levels, threats to our fall foliage and other tourism-based industries—these are among the many health and environmental problems global warming pollution is causing here in Maine.

But there are solutions to these problems, and NRCM is committed to making sure they are put into place.

Global warming is caused by a blanket of pollution that traps heat around the earth. This pollution comes from cars, factories, homes, and power plants that burn fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and gasoline.

NRCM works hard for policies and initiatives that will provide clean, renewable energy that will reduce the world’s global warming pollution, starting right here in Maine.
