Even industry experts agree that drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge will not solve the country’s energy problems. In fact, such a policy only further fuels the nation’s addiction to dirty fossil fuel.
NRCM is one of many state-based organizations across the country who are sending a united message to the federal government that drilling in the Arctic Refuge is wrong and would violate the wishes of the majority of Americans.
We are working hard to ensure the oil drills stay out of the Arctic. In so doing, we are helping protect other natural areas that could be vulnerable to the oil exploration, including right here in Maine.
